A Down Ass Woman!

You know, outside of your health there ain’t nothing else that really matters.

I was at an interview one day, and they asked,
“What’s one thing you can’t live without?”

Everybody started naming the usual 
“My kids.” “My phone.” “The internet.”

When it got to me, I said,
“The one thing I can’t live without is a woman.”

The room got quiet for a second, then everybody started laughing.
“Is he serious?”

You’re damn right I’m serious.
Because there’s no substitute for a woman.

After you done said everything you had to say,
after you done been out there farming,
cutting grass, politicking, grinding 
what’s left that can give you peace like a woman?

Nothing.

There’s nothing more important to a man than a woman.
Because everything else money, work, reputation 
you can get that on your own.

But a woman?
And not just any woman 
I’m talking about a down ass woman.

The one who rides with you when it’s rough.
The one who understands your silence but still knows your heart.
The one who sees your flaws and still believes in your purpose.
The one who jumps in to save the day when the world’s on your back.

That’s rare.
That’s real.
That’s love.

When you find that kind of woman 
you move different,
you build different,
you live different.
